a poem bindin the hypocritic human nature killing nature

I am sorry
I am sorry that i live
Honestly, where some would have me deceive
Myself from the worth of mine,
gold that i received from a mortal divine.
I am sorry that i smile
At sorrow, to bring happiness for a while;
To forget, tears express feelings happy and sad,
And a person smiling solemn is only mad.
I am sorry that i spend my tears-
expensive they are, should save them for later years;
Sorry to cry at things smaller,
For not using them to grow more taller.
I am sorry that i learnt to love
the honest poor more than people above;
To cry at a childs sad smile,
to laugh at an adults tear so agile.
I am sorry that one day i will die,
Leave memories but no reason for lovers to cry.
I am sorry that truth is now forsaken,
Sorry for bing a part to have it ta'en.

  1. The theme of disillusionment with life and its innate workings are given a proper exposition in this piece.....the line of thought followed in this poem is very similar to that of the protagonist of the short story ARABY from the Irish writer James Joyce's collection of stories, DUBLINERS!!!

    A fine effort, Arunava....keep producing gems like this one!!!!
